Dental Bridges

Dental Bridges

A dental bridge literally bridges the gap between one or more missing teeth. It’s made up of two dental crowns on the teeth on either side of the gap, and a false tooth or teeth in between. These false teeth can be made from gold, alloys, porcelain, or a combination of these materials. Dental bridges are supported by natural teeth or implants.

All of your teeth play an important role in speaking, chewing, maintaining proper alignment of other teeth and, of course, smiling. Tooth loss doesn’t necessarily have to occur as you age, but if you do lose teeth, they must be replaced to maintain proper function of your mouth. Fortunately, we can provide you with options for correcting tooth loss.

Dental Bridges might be needed to:

  • Restore your smile
  • Restore your ability to properly chew and speak
  • Maintain the shape of your face
  • Distribute the forces in your bite properly
  • Prevent remaining teeth from drifting out of position
